Race for Wilts Three Rink League Title Heating Up
Posted by Wayne Simmonds on 10 July 2019
Our recent performances in the Wilts Three Rink League have been really promising and three back to back wins have seen us move into contention as the league starts to heat up with a flurry of fixtures approaching. Our 10-0 win over Stratton Churchway last Sunday, followed by another 8-2 win last night against Blue Circle means we have picked up a total of 28 points from a possible 30, in our last three matches. This string of results has seen us move up to third position in the league, only 9 points behind league leaders Royal Wootton Bassett, but having played 4 games less (excl the result against Blue Circle).
Strong performances against Stratton and Blue Circle have given us a solid platform to kick on from, with a flurry of matches fast approaching over the next few weeks. With national competitions coming to an end, the focus turns to our performances in the Wilts four and three rink leagues.
