Established in 1921, Holt Bowls Club is a village club situated in the heart of Wiltshire, that is a registered flat green bowling club with both Bowls England and Bowls Wiltshire. Consisting of between 40 and 50 playing members, we are one of the premier bowls clubs in Wiltshire.

Holt Bowls Club consists of a 6-rink bowling green, large club house with both male and female changing room facilities. The club house also contains an integrated skittles alley and a well-stocked, licensed bar. Perfect for social events and gatherings. 

Currently we are fortunate to have a growing membership and host a fully qualified club coach that has helped develop complete novices to becoming competent yet competitive bowlers. New members are always welcome to join and we actively promote the sport of bowls within the community and encourage anybody to give it a try and play bowls. We hold an annual open day when the club is open to anybody willing to give bowls a try. It's a great opportunity to try something new and we have seen interest increase in recent years.

The club prides itself on its friendly, yet competitive club spirit. This has translated itself into many successes on the green both individually and collectively.  

Since 2012, where Holt won the Wiltshire league, for the first time in its history, and for the last 10 years has continued this success with the addition of multiple county titles to our name.  

These titles have also resulted in several members representing both the bowls club and Wiltshire Bowls Association at the all-England National Championships. 

As a member of 3 Wiltshire Leagues, there are plenty of opportunities for all abilities to be involved. This year we are initiating a Friday night social evening, run by our qualified club coach. This is a relaxed and enjoyable evening of bowls for all members and to help develop new members improve their skills. 

2021 is a big year for Holt Bowls Club as it marks our Centenary, a huge achievement for any club, and one that will be remembered with several celebration games planned for throughout the season.
