Opening of the green
Posted by Wayne Simmonds on 8 April 2021
We are delighted to announce that our centenary season will get underway on Monday 19th April, with the opening of the green. The management committee have reviewed the 'Return to play' guidance from Bowls England and have put in place a set of measures to ensure that these guidelines are followed and the safety of our members is ensured.
Our members are currently working hard to ensure the club is ready for the opening with on-going maintenance work being carried out both on the green and inside the club to ensure our 100th year as a bowls club is a successful one.
We will be enforcing the below rules, which must be upheld by all members
- The clubhouse will remain closed, except for the use of toilet facilities. We ask all members to please arrive ready to play.
- No spectators will be allowed on site during games
- All members are asked to use the online rink booking system (click here) before arriving at the club. We will still be enforcing socially distanced rinks. If you haven't registered yet, please register for access.
- Limit the use of shared equipment and ensure all jacks and mats are sanitised before and after use
- The club will have an NHS Track & Trace QR code which we ask members to scan each time they are at the club, to help record who is onsite. This has been advised by government guidelines so please ensure you have downloaded the NHS covid app.
Finally, if you have any symptoms please DO NOT visit the club, even if you have been selected for a game or have booked a rink, and ensure the respective captain is informed as soon as possible.
