COVID-19 Lockdown Update - Management Committee Announcement
Posted by Wayne Simmonds on 16 June 2020
We are delighted to announce that Holt Bowls Club is opening for non-competitive bowls from 1pm, Friday 19th June 2020. The Management committee has made careful decisions about the opening of the Bowls green and we now feel it’s the right time to offer limited playing capacity.
This is to ensure everyone can adhere to social distancing to maintain the safety of our members and volunteers, which remains our top priority.
To ensure the safety of our members, we will be adhering to the guidance published by Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS)in conjunction with Bowls England.
Such measures include, but are not limited too;
- Limited number of players allowed onto the green.
- The use of only essential equipment.
- An online rink booking system.
We will be updating our members with further information about how to participate safely. In the meantime, It's important that members take the time to familiarise themselves with the current guidance.

The club house will remain closed. Should members have a key, we ask that they refrain from accessing the clubhouse.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members who have committed time and resources, over the last few weeks to help complete work around the club. The club, as well as the green, looks to be in its best condition yet.
We are also thankful to our members and supporters who have stood by us as we work through these unprecedented times, and for their continued support as we make this gradual transition, back to the sport, we all so much enjoy.
